Product offering in cafe

topic posted Sat, February 5, 2005 - 8:53 AM by  john
I was wondering if any of you have had success with offering products besides coffee and tea and pastries (i.e., coffee cups, teapots, chocolates, etc) We are thinking of adding this to our store and I just wanted to see what experience anyone else had with this.

Thanks
John

A'roma Roasters, the cafe I work for, has been offering just about every type of accessory you can think of for the last few years and what I've noticed is that occassionally they are purchased, but generally the bulk is at Xmas time. They don't "fly" off the shelves, but they do move.

    Howzit John,
We do plenty. The mousepads and ceramic cups do the best in terms of merchandise.
We also do internet radio streaming the music played in the cafe. Regulars dig it because they can tune in while at home drinking their coffee and hear the same music customers in the cafe are hearing.
