I recently discovered the New Deal Cafe (www.newdealcafe.com) as a newcomer, and I love it. They have a lot of local events and are right across from the Prince George Theater in Greenbelt. They are one of those co-op establishments, and the staff is friendly. A lot of the regulars know one another, and it's nothing fancy, but it makes up for that in the heart and soul that it emanates.
So, if you are in the area of Maryland near D.C., you must check it out.
